our deck - gateway to winter wonderland |
First, let's make fun of my step-daughter's little Remmington, and his snow ball plight.
little dog likes to tromp through drifts like the big dog but doesn't have the fur for it! |
Now, let's announce that NEXT WEEK, author Kate Messner will be stopping by to talk about winter, and her latest book SUGAR AND ICE.
Dogsled Dreams by Terry Lynn Johnson is a story that demonstrates the bond between mushers and their dogs, the devotion mushers feel for their dogs, and the lengths to which they will go to ensure their dog’s health and well-being.
The most important lesson in this book is that it shows a young person being responsible and treating animals humanely and that this behavior is admired by their peers.
This story also truly shows that mushing is a family sport that enhances family connections and one that bring joy to humans and canines. People of all ages will enjoy reading Dogsled Dreams.

All this great news - makes me feel like giving away signed copies of DOGSLED DREAMS! Any cool ideas out there on how to make it fun?

Wish our back yard looked like that!
Congratulations on the review!
Anything, as long as I get one. ;)
I'm so happy for you!
Hmmmm, a contest idea:
Have people send in the most heartwarming picture of them with their dog (or the neighbor's dog, if they don't have one...or maybe just any pet). Cutest pic gets a book???
YAY for reaching 200 followers! *tosses glitter and confetti*
And maybe it's the wimpy Cali girl in me, but I'm shivering just looking at that photo. *dashes off to find her snuggie* :)
LOVE these photos :)
And congrats on the reviews and the followers!
I'd have a hard time tearing myself away from that view from your deck. Gorgeous. And congratulations on that wonderful review!
Wow - that's a terrific review!!!
You really do live in paradise :)
Congrats! As alwasy, I love your pics.
Beautiful picture! We got snow today, too, but only a dusting. Congratulations on 200 followers.
Terry,
Love the idea of a book giveaway. How about asking contestants to write a post (either here or on their own blog, fb page, etc) about themes from your novel? I especially like the idea of the human-animal bond. Oh, and by the way, congrats on the great review.
Congrats on the great review. I think you should make the contest fairly simple, like comment and extra points for spreading the word. Many of us work so doing things to win takes precious time. Just a thought.
Congratulations! :D On both followers, and review!
I love your back yard! LOL. Congrats on your review and your followers!! And I love Kate Messner. And I WANT a signed copy of your book - show me the hoops and I'll jump through them! :-)
Beautiful picture! Congratulations on the review, as well.
How about one for who lives closest to you and one for who lives furthest?
I'd love to do a DogSled Dreams giveaway on my blog. Sign me up!!
So much great news! I am so excited to read Dogsled Dreams! Can't wait!!! Any giveaway would be awesome.
Once again, that top photo is AMAZING! And what a cute (and cold!) pup!
PS: Congrats on the 200 followers! Yay!
That's awesome Terry! Beautiful. And great that good reviews are coming in! Congrats!
The view from your deck is literally breathtaking, Terry!!!
200 followers - congrats, Terry!! Don't stop now - keep going.
Oh, what a lovely picture, Terry! We waited all day for our snow to arrive. We were supposed to get 3-6 inches, the first real snow of the year. It was supposed to start at noon. At 10pm it finally started flurrying. We got a disappointing 1/2 inch. :(
Congrat's on the wonderful review.
I think Jess has a good idea or you could have short writing contest with a dog theme...Just make sure it's fun for you too. :D
Hurray for the wonderful review, all the followers, and the beautiful snow! CONGRATULATIONS!
I think it's just fun getting a new book.
Aw...your step-daughter's dog is so cute with little snow balls on his legs. =)
Congrats on 200 followers!
