This is the full jacket art for DOGSLED DREAMS made by the talented Aidana, 4RV's art director. The text will be added after the designer finishes the layout of the book. If you can picture it, the cover will show the dogs, and the back of the book will have the sled and musher.
This is from a scene in the book when Rebecca is running the dogs at night in a snowstorm.
The illustrator will also be doing black and white drawings for each chapter. I hope to have a few of those to share with you as well.
Once the text is added to the art, I'll be able to start marketing. I plan on getting a professional trailer made, bookmarks, countdown widget, postcards and many other exciting ideas.

Doesn't that just make it so real. Just knowing what your cover will look like must be one of the top five things an author could experience. Up there with holding the book in your hands.
This is beautiful. And I love the colors. I'm so happy for you. This is really exciting. To see everything coming together. Just wait until you hold the book in your hands, smell the cover, feel the pages and sign your first copy. You'll smile, maybe even giggle, at the sweetness of it all. The knowing of what you've accomplished along with the team who supported you and believed in you and your work. We tell stories because we have stories to tell. We tell stories because we must. But it's in the sharing of these stories that brings the real joy. This is your dream. This is your book. Your journey and time. Enjoy it. Beautiful! You must be so excited! This is all coming together quickly! To see your work illustrated -- it's an amazing experience! I've had line drawings done for a couple of short stories I published. It was fascinating to see my characters drawn on paper!
