My feature article Not Just Walking the Dog, about my good friend Alana Grant and her awesome outlook on life with her two dogs is out in the November issue of Dogs in Canada Magazine. Also, my short bio and photo is featured as one of their contributing writers. I'm thrilled that there's a cute PUG on the cover.
Next month I'll be on the back page with an essay about one of my sled dogs. And a third article on sled dogs will be coming out in the near future!
I'd have to say being featured in a DOG magazine is a proud moment for me. I think I'm more excited about this than any other article I've had published.
What was your most thrilling moment in your writing journey?

Congrats Terry! Way to go! What's my greatest writing moment???? Hmmmm...getting the first sentence down? Hugs.
Heather, so great that you break down your goals into simple steps! The first sentence - yes that's a good one.
That is awesome!
And it has nothing to do with writing, but in 1991, my very first stock photo appeared in Cat Fancy magazine. I was thrilled! I did a lot of work for them after that.
Congrats! It's so great to see how you're building your platform and gaining readers who want to read about dogs.
I think the first big moment for me came when I realized I could actually make money with my writing. The next one was seeing my byline.
Congratulations! Sounds like you've found a place that likes your writing. I guess my most thrilling moment was when I got my first short story published in Christmas Traditions this fall.
Congratulations, Terry! You should be VERY proud!
Congratulations! It's a great feeling!
I can't say for sure what my fave writing moment is, but probably my most recent published poem in the November Highlights for Children. They also have my poem on their website being read aloud by a precious voiced child. TOok me by surprise and made me want to dance! :)
peace,
Donna
Congratulations! You have reason to be proud!
As an adult my first proud writing moment was my first sale - publication of a short story in Jack and Jill Magazine, but my proudest moment ever was when my 3rd grade class performed the play that I wrote for our parents. I wrote and directed it!
Look at the comments! Woo! I love sharing my moments with you guys!
Diane, you and cat photos seem to go together! Funny what things turn into eh?
Tara, thanks for mentioning the platform! Yes, that's what I'm working on.
Janet, and so you should be proud. You're out in a book! That's great!
Barrie, thanks for stopping by!
Word Wrangler, I've tried Highlights with little success, Way to go with that!
