New puppy Tanzer |
From the comments, it seems like everyone enjoys a good puppy photo. So, for your viewing pleasure, I interrupt this blog to introduce you to a dog that was the very WORST behaved puppy I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot of dogs! 23 to be exact)
Nature has a way of making sure naughty puppies grow up - the cuteness factor. That will help you make it through to the good dog years.

Anyone else out there with a great dog that began as a cheeky-monkey pup?

OMG so adorable! Yes, my puppy Maya was a handful (still is) she's 1 1/2, I sure hope she settles down a bit ;o) Love the eyes on Tanzer!
Thanks for sharing ;o)
So cute!! We don't have dogs...just one neurotic cat. But we love her.
Yes! So cute!! My dog started as a cheeky-monkey pup too! She wouldn't let any pet her; she'd bite you if she tried. She is now very well mannered and loves butt scratches. Though... some days she can still be very aloof.
Awww, so precious! I'm still trying to convince my hubby to let the kids have a puppy. :-)
23 dogs? Wow! You really are writing what you know :)
Awww!!! He looks so frisky, even all grown up. What a cutie! :-)
My Gabriel was a handful as a pup - he chewed up no end of clothes, tore up carpet, and even chewed a hole in furniture. He grew up to be incredibly well behaved...though he's not above chewing up a towel or pair of jeans if they're left out. ;-)
Thanks for the dose of "cute" today!
What a gorgeous dog! I think you're right - the cutest ones tend to be the biggest monsters. :-)
OMG I am sitting at my desk Ooing and Awwing I can't help myself they are too adorable!!! That's the best cuteness montage ever!!! I have two lovely cats and I love them to pieces... no pups not enough space!!!
Thank you for sharing these!!
I love those glacial-blue eyes.
Oh my God! That is sooooo adorable!
I want to eat him up!
Oh, how cute!!! Yes, our black lab was quite the stinker as a pup. whenever I'd lay down to do sit-ups, he'd play tug-a-war with my pony tail! He was lucky he was so cute! Now he's the BEST!
Too cute!
Love these pics. Keep them coming :)
Total cutie :)
What an ADORABLE dog!!! Such a face! I think every dog I've ever had has started cheeky and kept it going on forever. Love them.
Adorable as a pup and as an adult!
I love crazy pups. Every puppy my husband and I have owned we picked because they were bouncy and crazy. (well, we've only had three so far...).
I love dogs!
Thanks for sharing the pics!
Cute, cute, cute! But this doesn't only happen with dogs and cats. I remember once there was an 8 year old third grader in another teacher's room. She collapsed in the lounge one day after school and said, "That boy is a ring-tail tooter. The Good Lord sure knew what he was doing when he made him a cutie!"
Love these pictures!
We got our Golden Retriever, Piper, when she was the worst behaved (approx.) 18-month-old dog I'd ever met. She gnawed on people (I don't want to say bit, but that's what it was) constantly. We still call her the naughtiest dog ever, but she's come a long, long way. I totally agree - the cuteness factor ensures those naughty ones make it to dogdom.
Awwww! We haven't had dogs for quite a few years, but I've had plenty growing up. Tanzer is adorable!
Ahhh! Your killing me here. Tooo cute...must resist...
We have a malamute that had a penchant for eating electronics when she was a pup. My son still looks at her with a bit of resentment for the collectors edition IPod she ate. Today she steals from the neighbors. Gloves, shoes, sheep hair, pirate hats, horse brushes etc. A lot like a monkey when you think of it. You gotta love a dog with character--and a strong fashion sense!
Tanzer is so cute! We used to have a dog, she was a dachshund. When she was little we had to watch and not step on her. She was something else, too.
He's precious. I don't have dogs, but one of my cats was a crazy, destructive nut when he was a kitten.
He's tugging at my heart strings! What a cutie!
We rescue dogs and some of them have been rescued in puppy stage...so the answer is "yes!"
