Geez! I read a good deal and the only two books I see in that post that I've read are Angela's Ashes, The Invisible Sister and The Lovely Bones. You make me feel as though I live under a rock!!!

I'm not feeling really clever today, so my title suggestion is simple:
"The Secret"....eluding to his, but also the secret to survival, the secret to working together, the secret acceptance, the secret to, well, life.....

nephite blood spartan heart said...

Sorry have to throw jokes ones out first as I start to get more serious about titles.

Victoria of the Wolves

Snow Dogs, nope thats taken

Wendigo Blues, unless you don't have a wendigo then scrap this one.

Cold Comfort

Baptism by Ice

Snow Blind, is that taken already?

Frozen Will

Ice Dancers and Snow Bounders, I may be regressing here

Bond of Extremes, sorry doesn't sound very YA

Cry of the North Wind

I probably better just quit-please don't take my joking around as anything personal about your work. Let me know when its available.

I'm not very good at titles, but I was going to suggest "The Secret" and here I see PJ has already suggested it!!
Oh well...I still get an entry for that, right? :)

Okay..that's enough, I guess.

"Arctic Secret"

Regardless, good luck with your book. It sounds great!

free books!? yay.. I'm in. I'm following you. title suggestion.. let's see.. ok - how 'bout this:

Iron dream.

Caroline Starr Rose said...

Thanks for the link! I'm embarrassed to say I still haven't read ON WRITING. Absolutely loved ANGELA'S ASHES. I read it while sick, and every one of my fevered dreams included Irish hardships!

And JULIE OF THE WOLVES must have felt like home for you.

You had a bang up year and I am excited to see what this year brings you. I expect it will be pretty special since you seem to have some amazing talents!

OK. Names for your new book? Well, having absolutely no experience in this field I find that I am obviously more than qualified to offer my opinion. Well that's the standard I usually go by anyway.
LOL

Frozen Secret/s
The Snowflake Mystery
Frozen Trust
Icy Surrender
An Unlikely Team
Survival Instinct
Trusting Victoria

It might help if we knew the key point or theme of the book. I can't believe you have a logline already though- Wow!

Will have to think of a title later. Gotta go!

Have a wonderful New Year :o)

+1 for leaving a comment
+1 for title - Umm, I'm not sure I'll deserve that last point, but here's my titles.
Snowbound
Adventures in Dogsledding
Snowdriven
Snow Lexicon
Snowdrifts

Sorry Terry - I tried.

Mary E Campbell said...

I just thought of another title - which may also be bad -

Crystalline - Def. - of or like crystal; clear; transparent. Ice is considered crystalline water.

Good luck.

Title? I'm terrible at them! but maybe something like The Snow's Secret?

Yay for contests!

'Kay - I'm a follower, I'm commenting, and hmmm...titles always mess me up. I like Dogsled Dreams, but...Cold Survival? Ugh. I stink at titles.

Anna Staniszewski said...

Great contest!

I just became a follower. :-)

As for titles, I love single-word ones (though I can never come up with them for my own projects). Maybe something like "Survive" or "Survival."

Stephanie said...

I recommend "On Writing" to so many people. And "The Road" is one of my all-time faves...

Robin Lemke said...

Congratulations on everything you have achieved. I love books, please put my name in the contest. I am already a follower. For a title, how about Snowbound in the Wilderness, Frozen Secrets in the Wilderness, Trusting to Survive. I'm not good at titles, but it looks like you've got a lot of good suggestions.

Oh man, I stink at titles. Maybe Cold Dogs? Lame.

Happy New Year, Terry!

I've been wanting to read The Lovely Bones ever since I found out that Mark Wahlberg was going to be in the movie adaptation.

Okay usually I use simplistic titles for my own works which oddly works...somehow lol

So here are my suggestions:

-Snowy Secret
-Secret of a Man
-Secretive Whispers
-Lost in Secrets

How did I miss this contest?

I'm terrible at titles (my WIP just gets a single word), but I'll throw out some suggestions, which will hopefully get all the creative juices flowing:

Secrets and Survival

Surviving Secrets

Icy Secrets

hmm, I guess I like the play on secrets :)

Lisa Gail Green said...

I have no idea WHY on earth I am thinking this as I don't really know your book, but I keep thinking about the title TRUST. Does the character have to trust or mistrust the companion? How about the dogs being faithful no matter what? I don't know. Maybe I just want to win books...

:)
